ADULT & TEEN VOLUNTEERS

One of the most delightful aspects of Plainsboro Public Library is the magnificent volunteer support we get from the community. Volunteers contribute to the remarkably cost effective, innovative service at Plainsboro Public Library. From “reading the shelves”, to helping with community wide festivals, to manning the technical needs of the vast Interlibrary Loan System, to sorting donations and selling books at the monthly sale, volunteers play MAJOR roles. During 2012, nearly 100 adults and teens donated over 3,700 hours to the Plainsboro Library!

ADULT VOLUNTEERS  Orientations for adults who wish to volunteer on a regular basis are scheduled 3 - 4 times per year as needed--generally in the early spring, early summer and mid to late fall.  Check back here often for updates.  "Applications" for adult and teen program volunteers will be posted on the Blog and in the Library a few weeks prior to the event.  Also watch for special postings for program volunteers throughout the year. If you would like further information or have questions, please email Carol at cquick@lmxac.org

TEEN SHELVING VOLUNTEERS  Teen shelvers are recruited twice a year -- for the summer and for the school year.  Anyone with questions on teen volunteering may email Tara at yaplainsborolibrary@gmail.com
