THE LIBRARY HAS ARRIVED AT 9 VAN DOREN!
NEW HOURS: Monday-Friday 10 a.m. -8:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Joyous pictures tell the whole story. And there are more projects to come! Solar panels, ticker tape announcement boards, coffee and tea in the cafe!!! Keep watching the progress as we complete the job!!!

AH....come in and see LIFE AT THE NEW LIBRARY!

While we have packed in all the public areas--thanks in no small part to a staff that is not afraid of hard, dirty physical labor AND to a crew of indefatigable volunteers of similar sentiment, the entire collection is completely in order. Behind the scenes, however, staff is hard at work on offices, boxes, new phones and a new computer system. Operating with all files in a box, a personal wireless computer, here is Assistant Director Carol Quick! One of our many award winning "troopers!

Enjoy the humor of Moving Day # 4.5
We are done moving everything out of the 641 Plainsboro Road. AND, all the library materials are set to go at the new library. Next up: an entirely new computer system; and telephones that ring at 9 Van Doren. Of course, there are zillions of boxes that need to be unloaded in offices-BUT, the hardest work is over and we are STILL filled with energy and joy! Below, the remains of the day. Rolls of colorful tags with which we directed every book shelf, every box, every piece of artwork, every toy, every everything! DONE! You can bet this little babies will appear in an art project this summer! Always good for a laugh, the odd things you find behind things that haven't moved for years and can't be cleaned behind! See that square item plastered to the wall? Look at the close up! CRAYONS?!? Discovered behind the file cabinet that had been holding up the staff mailboxes for 17 years!!!

And enjoy the photo medley of Moving Day # 4!

The dinosaurs, mini and maxi are waiting expectantly for their ride, as the "old library" clears out. Can you imagine these vistas on a a regular working day???

Moving Day # 1

Of course it rained--as with most significant parts of this entire project! But not to worry, the whole team of library staffers, American Interfile and Library Interiors proceeded without a grumble!!!

As the boxes move out, our Chinese dancer awaits her performance in the moving parade!

Because we are reusing much of our shelving, as we move out books, the shelving is instantly collapsed and moved into position in the new library!

Reference was the first area to be completely cleared, so we can carry on with Tax Workshops throughout the move, utilizing the remaining tables!!!
